Bimetallic cylinder liner is a special material engine component mainly used in internal combustion engines of vehicles such as automobiles, ships, and airplanes. It is made of two layers of metal materials with different coefficients of expansion, usually consisting of high-temperature resistant alloys on the inside and materials with good thermal conductivity such as copper or aluminum on the outside. When the engine is working, the alloy layer in the high-temperature area will expand, while the outer layer is relatively less, which can effectively prevent heat transfer to the cylinder block, reduce thermal fatigue, and improve engine life. At the same time, the bimetallic cylinder liner can also absorb some mechanical impact, reduce vibration, and lower noise. In engines operating in high load and high temperature environments, such as turbocharged or vehicles, the advantages of bimetallic cylinder liners are more pronounced. It is widely used in equipment such as large diesel engines, engines, and industrial gas turbines.
